Notifications: push (PWA)
Uptime Cloud delivers web push notifications to your installed app (phone or desktop). These are the fast, personal alerts that pop up on your device.
Enabling push
Section titled “Enabling push”- Install the app (see Installing the app) or open it in a supported browser.
- On the Notifications page, enable push and grant the browser permission.
- Repeat on each device where you want alerts — each device is its own subscription.
You can send yourself a test notification to confirm it’s working.
Choosing what alerts you
Section titled “Choosing what alerts you”Push preferences are per monitor and opt-in — nothing alerts you until you turn it on. For each monitor you can independently enable:
- Down — the monitor went down.
- Up — the monitor recovered.
- SSL — the certificate is expiring/invalid (if SSL checks are on).
- Domain — the domain is expiring (if domain checks are on).
What the notifications look like
Section titled “What the notifications look like”State-change alerts are three short lines: an all-caps headline, the monitor (with its group), and a detail line. For example:
MONITOR DOWNProduction: Marketing SiteHTTP 500Headlines are MONITOR UP, MONITOR DOWN, SSL CERT. EXPIRING, and
DOMAIN EXPIRATION.
The AI triage follow-up is titled TRIAGE REPORT
and adds a third line with the likely cause:
TRIAGE REPORTProduction: Marketing SiteThe domain doesn't resolve (DNS NXDOMAIN).Tapping a notification opens that monitor.
